Bio

Tiffanie Peters is a contemporary visual artist based in Los Angeles, CA. The artist’s continually expanding practice merges figuration and abstraction while processing systems surrounding Western ideas of beauty, power structures, visibility, art history, academia, and categorization. She confronts Eurocentric traditions in art history by combining oil paint, ink, pastels, and charcoals with unstretched canvases. Leaning into this resistance provides alternative ways to see, create, and live.
